“For the sole true end of education is simply this: to teach men how to learn for themselves; and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain.”- Dorothy L. sayers

Hi, I’m Sheryl
I’m the Lead Tutor and teaching is my passion! I have my M.A. in Teaching, and I have taught in the public school and have home schooled my four children. I have over 18 years teaching experience and helped start and manage classical homeschool co-ops to encourage families to educate their children through high school.
When I first learned of the classical model of education, I read every book I could on the methodology and then implemented it in the teaching of my children. My excitement in my research blossomed, and I began training and teaching others how to classically educate as well. How could this 2,000 year old method of teaching still be relevant today? Well, it is! It is based on a student’s natural propensity to learn. It brings joy to learning, makes all knowledge accessible and teaches one how to learn for themselves. Come journey with Outstanding in the Classroom and restore your student’s education.
